We usually see many flowers of different plants, such as chrysanthemum, peony, osmanthus, rose, etc.. This is very normal for us to see the phenomenon. However, some people would be very alarmed to see the flower of bamboo, and think that is an omen for famine, even still some other people give the phenomenon of bamboo bloom a layer of superstition.

Facing these questions, what do you think?

Plants bloom can be divided into two types from the relationship between trophosome and flower: one is a flowering plant which blooms only once in life, the result to diet for it had already complete circle of its life. This includes annual plants, biennial and perennial plants. The other one is plant bloom many times for the life, and they can survive for many years, such as apple, peach, pear and other plants.

Bamboo belongs to a perennial flowering plant but only bloom for once time in its whole life. It can grow decades of years before bloom. Its color of leaves present a little yellow when the bamboo flowers, and some vines grow in the bamboo branches which have a number of small particles above, this is the bamboo flowers.

Bamboo bloom is closely related with the local climate, soil and other environmental conditions, such as weather drought, plant senescence and so on. Bamboo could not get proper nourishment under adverse growing conditions, resulting bamboo bloom to produce strong and vigor offspring to adapt to the new environment.

After the flower of bamboo, it will be died. As a matter of fact, there are many kinds of plants who will be died after flower as well as bamboo, such as wheat, maize, sorghum, peanuts and so on. But many plants are annual plants that are common for them to flowers for one time a year, while bamboo is bloom only once after many years, it seems relatively rare, so they feel strange among others.

Many exciting phenomenon exist in nature, and still waiting for people to explore. Only we draw more attention about them, lots of fun will be found by us.
